A third graphite piece.
This piece extends the range of mark-making. As well as using a brush to apply the graphite powder, I have used a strip of mount board to create various expressive marks. I like how using the powder allows for a mark to change in tone as it is repeated or extended.
I'm a creative artist and teacher of art. I mainly use chalk pastel and oil paint to make my work. Making quirky photographs is my hobby. I enjoy good comedy on tv, preferring mostly British sitcoms, but also enjoy well-written thrillers and intelligent sci-fi movies. I like popular music of different kinds, but big guitar sounds are my favourite!
